Gourmet Vegan All-Purpose Seasoning

This recipe is from my east coast friend, Skyler, who introduced me to this savory concoction a few years back on a batch of popcorn. It’s a great way to add a spicy twist to popcorn, corn on the cob, or even your favorite light protein source (tofu, chicken, or white fish)! It adds an extra boost of protein, too, thanks to the nutritional yeast, which lends a slightly nutty or cheesy flavor to the seasoning. I’m not saying this spice mix will be the next Old Bay… but this might be the next Old Bay. Give it a try and tell us how you like it!

Ingredients
1/4 cup Nutritional yeast
2 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Dill
1/2 to 1 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper

Grind all the ingredients together with a mortar and pestle until you have a powder. Pat the seasoning on your protein of choice until it’s coated and cook according to your instructions, or if you’re using popcorn, sprinkle it onto freshly popped popcorn (drizzle a little butter or oil on first if you wish), and toss the popcorn until the seasoning coats everything evenly.
