This weekend, I decided to do some baking for a party. Since my specialty is desserts, I decided to take the sweet and easy route and make some pumpkin brownies. The original blog from which I got this recipe mentioned that the brownies would not taste like traditional brownies, because they are made with pumpkin (duh). They ended up very fudgey, not too sweet, and a bit pumpkiny!
I ate too many of these, no surprise. It was worth every calorie, though.
They’re the easiest things to make, and they’re really inexpensive. Check it out!
1 “Family Size” box (19.5 oz) brownie mix
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
1/2 to 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×9 baking pan. In a medium-sized bowl, mix up the ingredients until they’re completely blended. Pour the ingredients into the pan and spread them with a spatula until it’s even. Pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the pan.
That’s it. It’s that easy. The blog I got it from had a supplemental recipe for buttercream frosting, if you’re interested, but I thought they were perfect without it.
